Guidelines

Ever wonder how much you are supposed to buy and of what?  I did.  This chart is a great resources showing how much of each item you should have!  All you have to do is multiply the '1 year for 1 person' amount  by the # of people you are feeding and place the new amount in the '1 year' box.  Next you can decide what you goal is for now.  Do you want 6 months? Divide it by 2 and place it in the box.  Do you want 3 months?  Divide it by 4 and place it in the box.

This helps to keep you on track and let you still make more manageable goals for yourself.  1 year can be overwhelming if you think you need to get it all at once!

The best feature on this chart, is that there is a place to put how much you have.  This helps you to see how much you still need and you can compare it to the month and year quantities to determine how long it will sustain you for.

Good Luck and Happy Food Storage-ing!
